Update on the Trenton house

My family has been working away getting this beautiful plantation restored. It's even more stunning in person. Lately they have done new siding and the paint they are using are original 1800's colors. So Lovely!

Fall/ Winter haircolor trends

I thought I would change it up and add a hair topic showing the upcoming season's haircolor trends!
Tracey Cunningham is a celebrity colorist and also uses Redken haircolor which is my favorite. I always follow her lead on what's new and upcoming and love her color work on Hollywood's top actresses. So here they are!

For Brunettes~ This season's look is still a variation of the ombre effect, which has been huge this past year. It was more dramatic and now it's a little more subtle this season and more of an "illumination"from a deeper base color to lighter ends. I Love this look!

For Redheads~ This season's red is an in between strawberry blonde red and a ginger red with tons of shine. It's perfect for after summer to add some warmth back to the hair.

For Blondes~ This fall blondes are going really light with keeping some dimensional lowlights of wheat and beige darker blonde. It has the multi-tonal effect of a couple different blonde tones so it doesn't look flat. Against the lighter pale highlights you'll need a light basecolor to keep it looking natural.

Makeover Saturday!

This old wooden cabinet was left to collect dust in my shed in the backyard. Who doesn't love a free piece of furniture that's dying for a makeover? I ended up spraying the wood with a grey paint and sprayed the old brass pulls turquoise. The other door was broken, so I took it off and added a sweet curtain with vintage fabric. LOVE!

Things I love about Fall

Ok, let's be honest when September comes I just want to bathe in pumpkin anything. Gross? No... Heavenly. I don't care what it is, if it's pumpkin I want it :) Especially pancakes. Heavens they are good! The new Featherlock autumn collection for your hair is really pretty. And Harvest Pumpkin Ale?? Just sit me down.

Now that it's cooling down I can enjoy my new patio furniture! It's really comfortable and I got it through my sweet friend Matt who works for a wholesale company! It was a killer deal so I am just loving it...
